今年曾來台擔任MLB棒球樂園大使的雙城隊二壘手多西爾，已成為大聯盟當今最炙手可熱的交易對象，儘管與雙城還有2年合約，但包括道奇、巨人、紅雀與國民都對他拋出媚眼，希望開出交易條件，找來這位本季敲出42轟的強打二壘手，補強球隊無論攻防的空缺。
29歲的多西爾，2012年登上大聯盟，隔年敲出18轟，年年全壘打數都增加，今年敲出生涯最多42轟，也是全大聯盟最會轟的二壘手，另打擊率0.268與99打點都是生涯新高，加上又是難得的大砲二壘手，剩餘2年合約總值更僅有1500萬美元，讓他在球季結束後，獲得眾多球隊青睞。
其中最為積極的就是道奇隊。道奇本季的主戰二壘手是厄特利，已是自由身，由於厄特利高齡38歲，今年雖有回春跡象，但戰力下滑是不爭事實，道奇希望火力再升級，若能交易來「俗又大碗」的多西爾，對球隊戰力將是顯著提升。
看到同區對手積極爭取，巨人隊也不干示弱，今年主戰二壘手潘尼克表現雖不差，卻飽受背傷所苦，也期待找來多西爾讓內野陣容有更多想像。
國民隊雖有當今大聯盟頂級打者丹尼墨菲擔綱二壘手，但誰會擔心球隊實力太強，加上國民隊今年季後賽首輪就落敗，補強勢在必行，若能順利交易來多西爾，可將丹尼墨菲移防前往一壘，有望大幅提升進攻火力。
最新傳出的競爭者是紅雀隊，儘管今年全隊225轟，已是國聯最多、全大聯盟次多，但球隊期待的二壘手柯頓黃，本季打擊率0.240、5轟、23打點並不理想，紅雀球團已轉向尋找多西爾來補強火力，而內野人才不少的紅雀，也擁有許多交易籌碼。
